‘Downton Abbey’ season 4 spoilers: A pair of new, mysterious faces

Even though there are not too many details out there right now about the upcoming “Downton Abbey” season 4 Christmas special, save for the fact that we know that Paul Giamatti and Shirley MacLaine are going to be a part of it, who wouldn’t like to hear about at least a couple more people who are going to appear?

There is a silver lining here in that there is hardly any information out there when it comes to details about these characters right now … save for a name, anyway. According to The Huffington Post, two of the characters that we are going to see in either the Christmas special or some of the other later episodes are Baxter, played by Raquel Cassidy, and Mr. Green, who will be played by Nigel Harman.

In the end, we imagine that it would be a mistake to say that any one of these characters are guaranteed to be major additions to the show’s season 4 cast. Just look, for example, at what happened during the Christmas special last year. Remember the maid that tried to get closer to Tom Branson, only to loser her job in the process? Even if they are in more than one episode, the odds of them having a paramount role in the proceedings seem to be somewhat slim, given that we would have heard about their castings far before now.
