‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 4 spoilers: ‘Private Practice’ alum to possibly recur

Hawaii Five-0Ready for something completely different on “Hawaii Five-0’s” upcoming fourth season? It’s not altogether often that you see a Texas Ranger somehow becoming a part of a storyline that is set out on a Pacific island, but this time around, that is exactly what is happening.

In news that was first announced yesterday at CBS’ annual TCA panel, former “Private Practice” and “The Nine” star Tim Daly will guest-star and potentially recur as a character whose identity for now is really only tied to the Lone Star state. Given this status, we’re inclined to say by and large that this person is rooting for the good guys. But who really knows? There have been some stranger things that have transpired within the world of this show.

Daly does join a guest cast for the new season that is certainly impressive. You have Chi McBride of “Human Target” and Rumer Willis each stopping by, but what has us the most excited right now is the prospect of a mini-“Lost” reunion. Terry O’Quinn is set to return, and both Henry Ian Cusick and Jorge Garcia are going to be the new kids on the block who probably know by heart a good list of places to hang out in while staying in the islands.

This new season needs all of the help it can get, given that a move to Fridays is coming, and that is where most shows (even the older-skewing ones on CBS) typically go to die. While there will be less similar competition out there from under “Castle’s” shadow, there is also less in the way if viewers.

If you want to read some more specifics as to who Cusick, Garcia, and others could be playing, your best course of action will be to check out the story over at the link here.
