‘Game of Thrones’ season 4 spoilers: Kit Harrington hypes up episodes ahead

When you consider just how amazing that season 3 of “Game of Thrones” ultimately was, there is a question that of course comes along with that: How in the world do you really up the ante from there? Can you top the Red Wedding, or create a television moment more intense than seeing the death of Robb and Catelyn Stark?

Well, you have to admire the actors and producers for at least giving this an old-fashioned try. Speaking to the Los Angeles Times in a recent interview, Kit Harrington, who ended up leaving his one-time love Ygritte near the end of last season, tried to explain that he is loving everything related to the show that he is seeing so far in production:

“I’ve just finished reading [the Season 4 scripts] and I genuinely think it’s my favorite one so far. And that sounds like I’m pulling your leg. I’m not. I’m not doing the actor thing of saying ‘each season is brilliant’ because I have to. I think it’s a really powerful season. It’s very action-filled. Last season was a big impact season, this season is very action-packed. On paper it looks incredible, whether we can pull it off, who … knows!”

For Jon, what makes this season so exciting at the moment is that for non-readers of the George R.R. Martin novels, there is really no telling what is going to happen to him next. The character is back with some of his fellow members of the Night’s Watch, but it is fair to say that quite a bit has changed as of late.
