‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 6 spoilers: Kurt Sutter on Wendy / Tara, body count, more
The premiere date for “Sons of Anarchy” is starting to be seen now in the distance; September 10 is less than a month and a half away, and Comic-Con is in the rear-view mirror. This is all very good news for a number of reasons: We will start having more promotional videos and photos soon, and creator Kurt Sutter says in his latest “WTFSutter” video that filming is just about at the halfway point of the season. There is a production hiatus coming up fairly soon, but he will use that as an opportunity with the writers to catch up and maybe even get somewhat ahead.
Sutter in this video (which of course contains some language, prudes be warned) is asked a couple of questions by fans, and in addition to talking once again about the natural tendency for the stakes and the body count to rise from season to season, he also touches a little bit on the interesting dichotomy that exists now between Tara and Wendy, who will be back this season for at least a few episodes:
“The interesting thing always about that dynamic between Tara and Wendy now is that while Tara is obviously the guardian for Abel and his his mother and has really raised him, they are two women that both have had a child with Jax; and now that Wendy has cleaned up her act and is trying to reinvest in that family, suddenly we have these two women who have a stake in Jax’s children.
“It’s always a push-pull thing. I think Wendy ironically at the end of the day is probably the most together out of any adults [that are now on this show].”
In just a brief note, we also know that episode 4 will run for a full 90 minutes, but so will many others this season thanks to the mere length of the story Sutter wants to tell.
