‘True Blood’ season 6, episode 7 preview: Alexander Skarsgard’s plea

Alexander SkarsgardThere are many words that we could have used to describe Sunday night’s “True Blood” season 6 episode, but it felt like our heart was pulled straight out of our chest. Anytime we see a character lose their lives, it is beyond sad news. However, sad news turns to devastating news when this character is someone that we loved as much as Terry Bellefleur.

Unfortunately, the promo below for next week’s “In the Evening” does not really tell us what is going to happen to the departed character, though it does feature Sarah Newlin doing her best not to let anyone know that the Governor of Louisiana is dead at the hands of Bill Compton. For some more details, just check out the episode’s full synopsis:

“Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) makes a last-ditch effort to save an ailing Nora (Lucy Griffiths). A tragedy close to home forces Sam (Sam Trammell) to ignore Alcide’s (Joe Manganiello) warning and return to Bon Temps. Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) shows her gratitude to James (Luke Grimes), a fellow incarcerated vamp, while an emboldened Sarah (Anna Camp) exacts a measure of revenge on Jason (Ryan Kwanten).”

There is some bad news mixed in here for Jason, since he may be facing a love triangle that is really his own doing. Had he not tried to be a hero, Jessica would have never been put into that copulation chamber.

We are at least finally now to a point where we are loving “True Blood” again. This episode Sunday night really addressed what were our vast multitude of problems with season 6, including some of the character stories that were dragging us down. We are mostly just sad that Terry finally found some sort of peace for himself, only to die minutes later. That alone is going to take some time to get over.
