‘Supernatural’ season 9: Jared Padalecki’s birthday (plus Misha Collins hilarity)

First of all, let’s start this story with the obvious: “Supernatural’s” Comic-Con panel is just about here! Many members of the #SPNFamily are already in San Diego preparing and enjoying the weekend, and this includes a certain star in Jared Padalecki, who chose to celebrate his 31st birthday by getting some time away from the crazy convention center.

Jared opted today to spend some time at the San Diego Zoo with his son Thomas, and he even posted a photo about it on his Twitter account. Just in case you wanted some humor to go along with the sweetness, he also received the following message from his co-star Misha Collins:

“Happy b-day, @jarpad! We’re glad you were born! don’t think of the past 31 years as wasted, think of them as a big mistake u can learn from.”

Being never the sort of guy to back down from a good ribbing, Jared responded with a rather funny tweet of his own:

“Sage words from somebody who’s survived 40+ (I’m estimating) years of mistakes. Thanks man. That means a lot.”

Of course, most of the humor comes in here out of the fact that Misha is actually 38, and there’s nothing out there that bug people more than being told that they are older then they are.

Collins and Padalecki will be two of the stars highlighting the Comic-Con panel, and they will be joined by Jensen Ackles and Mark A. Sheppard along with producers. This will be one of their first opportunities to talk with fans about the new season, and we will of course have more scoop along the way.
