‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Emily Maynard, Ashley Hebert to help Desiree Hartsock out

DesireeChalk up the following news to one thing: ABC just cannot seem to get enough of bringing back some of their past favorites from “The Bachelorette” to draw up some more ratings. Case in point? What is going to be happening this week with the much-hyped “Men Tell All” special.

We can tell you that when the special taped earlier this week, there were three former “Bachelorette” stars who decided to make an appearance, and they were none other than Emily Maynard, Ashley Hebert, and Ali Fedotowsky. As for why they were there, it was supposedly for some sort of advice … but we don’t really know what kind of advice that would be, since Desiree Hartsock finished filming her season months ago. (Maybe they’re going to tell her how to handle life after the show?)

One thing we find pretty interesting here is that “The Bachelorette” loves to bring back some of their past women for return appearances, even if Ashley is the only one technically still with the person who they met on the show. There could be a benefit in that, though, given that Emily and Ali both know what some of the pitfalls are that can lead to a relationship going sour at the end of the day. What we are slightly more surprised at is that the women on the show keep wanting to make return appearances, but you never see that from former stars of “The Bachelor.” Ben Flajnik and Brad Womack seem largely disinterested in the franchise, and both the two other most-recent men in Jake Pavelka and Jason Mesnick had their runs marred by controversy.
