Jimmy Fallon interviews Kristen Wiig as Michael Jordan … and it’s hilarious

When Kristen Wiig left “Saturday Night Live,” we were not entirely sure that we would see her really go the route of doing silly sketches on late-night shows any more. However, the writer / actress / comedienne still seems to be doing just about everything that she wants.

Take, for example, the latest video below from “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” featuring Kristen and the host. For whatever reason, Kristen decided to do a full interview as NBA legend Michael Jordan, even though she is neither black, bald, or a man. She did come out sporting a really terrible bald cap, and a jersey that was far too big.

Of course, this interview would not have been nearly as entertaining at all had Kristen decided to do much in the way of actual research for it. The fact that she came in and completely winged the entire interview was what made it so hilarious, throwing around names of fictitious basketball players and joking about her own talents. This video showed us above all that Kristen really has not changed since leaving the “SNL” stage, and is willing to try all sorts of things in order to get a laugh or a headline.

As for why she decided to appear on the show in the first place, Kristen has a new film coming out in “Girl Most Likely,” which also stars a popular name from “Glee” in Darren Criss. She will also be seen in the upcoming sequel to Will Ferrell’s hit “Anchorman,” which has been hyped for many months now.
