Love Island USA season 8 episode 29: Corbin & Parmida dumped
We know that there was a pretty simple reaction that a lot of people had to the last dumping on Love Island USA: Yawn. While Jen was fun to root for the couples in Caleb & Jaiden / Amora & Gal had no real long-term story arc on the show. Most of the original cast has been able to stick around for the past few weeks thanks to a lack of twists and many couples staying together.
So, did that change on some level with what we saw tonight? Well, yes and no. We did lose yet another person from Casa Amor tonight in Parmida, but it happened in a way that was certainly different from what we got on Friday night.

First and foremost, let’s begin here by noting that Karaoke Night was the name of the game tonight and honestly, we appreciate the creativity here! Not everyone was a great singer but honestly, that was not the point here at all. (The hilarity here is that Parmida had an interesting yodel-style talent that was different from anyone else.) Parmida & Corbin finished in last, but that in itself did not mean that they were dumped. Kenzie & Dylan actually won the challenge, which is no surprise since Kenzie dances and as it turns out, she’s at least an okay singer. Kenzie and Dylan were actually saved thanks to winning this; could they have been sent out otherwise?
Now comes the public vote
A number of couples were declared safe thanks to America, and that left us with a bottom two of Parmida & Corbin and then Zach & Kayda. Are we a little bit surprised about that? Sure, mostly because Melanie & Sincere surviving a vote based on compatibility is kind of shocking based on the season so far. (KC even was shocked that he and Tierra were declared safe.)
It is ironic that Corbin in particular gets booted after making so many people in the villa angry at him — even on this show, a social game does matter!
