Love Island USA season 8 voting crashes site, deadline changed

We knew that there would be enthusiasm behind the first fan vote for Love Island USA season 8, but who thought it would get to this level?

In a post on Twitter today, the series confirmed that they have extended the deadline for voting until 12:00 p.m. Pacific time today after frequent server crashes overnight. Given the amount of complaints and/or crash-outs we saw online over it the past 12 hours, this makes perfect sense.

For those somewhat out of the loop, America is voting on who to pair up the new bombshells with out of the remaining people in the villa. We have seen a lot of pretty crazy predictions on this subject. Yet, at the same time it is easy to come up with some reasonably simple answers. We do tend to think that Caleb is going to be paired with Kenzie, given that there is such obvious chemistry there and we do think a lot of viewers just want to push the inevitable forward. Meanwhile, it feels like Sincere is going to end up with Sol, even if there are some frustrated with his recent behavior and will see this as a reward.

Is there a little more uncertainty when it comes to Jen? Maybe, but it feels like Gabriel is going to be the direction in which this all goes. At least for now we do not really see things moving in any other direction — but we will wait and see if anything changes in that regard as we move forward. The thing here is that this is a long season and by virtue of that, there is still a lot of room for almost everything to evolve.
