Spider-Noir season 2: Nicolas Cage on uncertain future

We are days removed from the first season of Spider-Noir arriving on Prime Video and by virtue of that, it is hard to speak about the future with any real certainty.
Are there at least some reasons for hope here? Absolutely, with the biggest being that this is a familiar Marvel property with a big name front and center in Nicolas Cage. The only real issue is not knowing how much film noirs are going to be well-received by the audience. After all, two of the most-recent shows in the genre in Monsieur Spade and Ripley failed to get another season. Then again, neither had the same level of star power or had a conventional hero like “The Spider” front and center.

For now, the biggest thing that we can say here is that based on everything we are seeing and hearing, Cage would be happy to keep this going. Just take a look at some of what he had to say as a part of a new interview with Variety:
“I do not know [if there will be more] … But I would say that whether it happens or not, all of us achieved what we set out to do, and it works on its own. We’ll see what happens.”
The future of this show is going to be based on a myriad of different factors, but the most important one is clearly just viewership from start to finish. While it may be great if a lot of people watch from the start, they really need to be involved the entire way through. Otherwise, the only thing that we can say is that nothing is guaranteed.
Now if there is anything potentially holding the show back, it is the rather-simple fact that a series like this is probably not cheap to make. That at least has to be something that is actively on our mind at this point, no?
What do you most want to see moving into Spider-Noir season 2, provided that we get it?
