Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 2 premiere date: May update

Is there a chance that we are going to hear something more about Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 2 before the month is over? What about moving into June?

Because the flagship series has now reached its end, we do think we are starting to at least move into a place now where some of these questions can be asked. It makes sense for Starz to want to do something more to remind viewers that the franchise is still ongoing; at the same time, you do want there to be some breathing room between the end of one story and then the return of the other. In this way, you could call some of this a delicate balancing act.

Here is what we can say at present regarding the status of Outlander: Blood of My Blood — it is far too soon to anticipate a big announcement on an exact start date. Starz has already confirmed that it will be on this fall and with that in mind, a reasonable estimate is that there is a chance to see an announcement during the summer. A date could be revealed around a couple of months before the season and in the end, that would make a decent amount of sense.

As for what we would want to see from the second season, it actually feels like there is a pretty reasonable answer — more surprises! We had no way to anticipate the time-travel component that we saw during the first season of the show and if there is a way to replicate that, we’d obviously welcome it with open arms. You want to set the stage in some way for events from the flagship show, but also simultaneously work to circumvent some expectations.
