Sweetpea season 2 premiere date: A May 2026 update

Is there any chance that we could hear something more about Sweetpea season 2 between now and the end of May? It may be obvious to say that there is certainly enthusiasm for the next chapter, but there is. Just think about how season 1 changed the game for Rhiannon Lewis, as it appears as though there is no turning back from some of her latest murderous acts. The show has a challenge similar to Dexter where you are compelled to watch a complicated lead doing terrible things. Justice may be served eventually but if it happens too soon, the show comes to a close.

For those who are unaware, the good news for the Ella Purnell series is that it has already filmed its second season. By virtue of that, when can you actually expect it to air?

Based on every bit of information out there at present, it is easy to assume that season 2 will arrive this year — and from where we sit, late summer or early fall makes the most sense. A date reveal could happen within the relatively near future, as we tend to think that the episodes should be either ready to go or close to it. There are just two particular things that have to be considered here — some of the individual needs for Starz as a network and beyond that, their collaboration with Sky out of the UK. We’re sure that there will be at least some talk on keeping the return date in lockstep.

If you have not seen the official Sweetpea season 2 synopsis yet, here is what to expect:

“Navigating a new promotion, an irresistible rebound, and a copycat killer threatening to expose her, the kill list is mounting … And Rhiannon is forced to question whether her perfect ex, AJ, was right: Is she a monster?”
