Chicago Fire season 15: Cast member on possible deaths

We are certainly well-aware of the fact that Chicago Fire season 15 is not going to be premiering until the fall and that is a long time to wait for answers. In particular, we mean that through the lens of what is going to happen to several of the characters engulfed in the shocking season 14 finale cliffhanger.

This is far from the first time that the NBC drama has employed an ending like this and in the past, we have seen it claim such lives as Otis and Shay. Could someone else go? Really the only characters you can be confident are staying around are Stella and Severide, and that is mostly due to Miranda Rae Mayo and Taylor Kinney recently inking new deals.

Now, does this stability mean that they actually know more about what is coming up? Hardly. Speaking more on this to TV Insider, here is some of what Mayo had to say on that subject:

“I know nothing about the resolution [of the cliffhanger] … I actually saw the finale, the last moments in ADR and I wish I had my phone. I would show you my reaction. It’s hilarious. It’s just like us screaming because it’s a huge stunt. We’re just engulfed in fire. I mean, huge shout out to Rick LeFevour, Sr. and Jr. Junior was on the ladder. These are the stunt people. Shawnah [Donley]. Everybody. It was an incredible stunt. The entire crew, we shot it the last day of filming, and I think I was actually wrapped and I came back to see the stunt.”

We tend to think that at this point, the Chicago Fire producers are at least starting to think more and more about what is going to be coming on the other side. There are a lot of possible directions that the story could take, especially since death is a natural part of the job. Does this mean we want to lose someone, though? Absolutely not.
