The Testaments season 2 spoilers: More on Becka’s future
Following what we saw within The Testaments season 1 finale on Hulu, almost every character is facing an uncertain future. Lydia’s allegiances are still unclear, Agnes knows more about her lineage, and for Becka, she has to get accustomed to life as a newlywed.
Is this a life that she wants? Hardly, but this is also not a life that Garth wants, either. He is just playing a part as a member of Mayday, but Becka does that know that. The irony here is that if he were to tell her, she is someone he could certainly trust — but it is a risk. Almost everything in Gilead is.

Speaking to Deadline, actress Mattea Conforti had the following to say about where Becka at least is following the events of the season 1 finale:
Mentally, I think she’s really lonely. I think she’s lost. I think for her, honestly, the destiny that she has come to is the worst-case scenario. She’s married; she never wanted to get married. I think after she kills her father, she might suspect there’s some light at the end of this tunnel. She thinks she won’t have to get married because I’ll be dead. However, she ends up becoming everything that she didn’t want to be: a wife. So I think she feels quite confused and lonely, and really depressed. I hope that in Season 2, she can come into her own, process everything, and become independent—and maybe, spark some rebellion. Maybe she will get closer to Garth and learn about his affiliation with Mayday and Daisy, but we’ll see.
Ultimately, we do think that Agnes and all of her friends will do whatever they can to check up on her. They did so much to make sure that she was okay in the first place, and she may be integral to whatever revolution is coming.
