Boston Blue season 2 spoilers: How will Lena change?

As we approach a Boston Blue season 2 coming this fall to CBS, we more than recognize that characters are going to evolve. We obviously came into the first season knowing who Danny Reagan was thanks to Blue Bloods, and we have seen a few different changes for him over time.

When it comes to everyone else, meanwhile, let’s just say that things are ever-shifting. Lena Silver is certainly someone we came to know a lot about over the course of the season, with the same being said for a lot of the rest of her family. Yet, there were still chances to find out a few new things courtesy of people who came into her life, including her father Chris near the end of the season.

Speaking to Deadline, here is some of what Sonequa Martin-Green had to say in particular about how Lena knowing her father could change her moving forward:

“I think things will change in a way that she’s not expecting … I think you have an idea of how it’ll change you. You have an idea of how you’ve been shaped based on a person’s absence. You have no idea how it’s going to change you. And I love that Danny is there the whole way through in the second half of the season, and it goes both ways. We just saw it recently with Danny and his wife, and finally getting at the people who were responsible for her passing. Lena was right there with him.”

Just like most everything else in the world of this show, we are anticipating things being somewhat of a slow build — and also, isn’t that okay? You really do want to nurture some of this stuff as best you can.
