The Testaments season 2 spoilers: Will Elisabeth Moss be back?

Coming out of this week’s The Testaments season 1 finale on Hulu it definitely does feel easy to say that we could be seeing more Elisabeth Moss. How can we not? We know, after all, that June is the contact Garth has been speaking to! She also met up with Daisy and within that conversation, the two actually got through to each other — heck, Daisy managed to get through to June in a way that almost nobody else has over the years.

Given that a lot of fans out there are watching and hoping for a June / Hannah reunion at some point, it makes sense that Moss continues to have a role; however, what could that be?

Speaking per The Hollywood Reporter following the events of the season 1 finale, the actress and executive producer was honest when asked what her role could be for the next part of the story:

I don’t know yet. We’re still getting the scripts and figuring that out, so there’s a lot that hasn’t been really figured out yet. That’s the honest truth, because it’s super early days. We just got our pick up [for season two], so it’s all still being explored. But, if I did know, I wouldn’t be able to tell you anyway!

In the end, we do think that we’ll continue to see Moss for at least an episode or two of The Testaments, even if she is not around all the time in Gilead. She remains an important go-between and given Elisabeth’s role behind the scenes, she will also continue to have some sort of voice to go along with it. We also would not be surprised if she comes back as a director, which she was planning to do on the first season once upon a time.
