The Boys: Mexico premiere date: Are we any closer to it?

Given that The Boys will not be back this week with a new episode, this feels like the perfect time to look ahead to the future. Or, to be more specific, towards the possibility of The Boys: Mexico coming to fruition as a spin-off show.
Is anything 100% set in stone with it just yet? Not necessarily. The first season of Vought Rising has already been filmed so when it comes to at least the origin story of this superhero company, you do not have to wonder about that. Instead, we can just sit back and wonder instead about this one. Eric Kripke has spoken positively about the script, and this makes us feel like everything is going to be up to Prime Video. Is the cancellation of Gen V going to make them less likely to order something else from this world? We understand the argument but at the same time, you have to view each show as its own thing. Also, there is a chance that some characters from that show could end up appearing elsewhere.

Ultimately, if The Boys: Mexico does end up happening, it is hard to imagine it coming to pass until at least the start of 2028. We already have Vought Rising coming next year, so that does take a little bit of the pressure off when it comes to rushing any other releases. If the show gets greenlit, it will still need to be cast, let alone film and go through a long post-production process.
From where we sit, we do want to see the spin-off happen. While we 100% do understand that the final season of the flagship show was polarizing, it did have its good moments — and the show as a whole was really fun and worthwhile viewing. We see no real reason to root for its potential demise at this point. Where in the world would that get us?
Do you still want to see The Boys: Mexico eventually happen?
