House of the Dragon season 3: See footage from HBO sizzle reel
While we may still have some weeks to go until the House of the Dragon season 3 premiere arrives over at HBO, we are still able to set the stage further. After all, we have a small new tease courtesy of the network itself!
If you head over to the link here, you can see some of the teasers as a part of a newly-released sizzle reel for a lot of upcoming HBO / HBO Max programming. We do not get the sense that the network is working to rush along sharing too much of the story in Westeros, but you do get at least a reminder here of the size and scale of what is to come. After all, showrunner Ryan Condal has already noted that in some ways, this is going to be the biggest batch of episodes we have already seen.

To us, perhaps the most exciting thing about season 3 is the base idea that the producers are perhaps going to hit the ground running here in a way that is even more dramatic than what we have seen in the past. The end of season 2 laid the groundwork for the epic Battle of the Gullet from George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, one that is almost certain to lead to significant character deaths and changes to the narrative.
What is rather funny is that in addition to House of the Dragon, this teaser also reminds you of the success of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, a series that rather explicitly reminds you of the fact that all of the dragons of House Targaryen are destroyed as a result of this war. We are going to see this particular show move to a pretty dark ending and by virtue of that, the only thing that we can really do is be prepared.
