Platonic season 3 premiere date: A May 2026 update

Is there a chance that we are going to be hearing more about a Platonic season 3 premiere date between now and the end of May?

Of course, it is our hope that we get more of Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne sooner rather than later, and for good reason. After all, the first two seasons of the show were not just incredibly funny, but also perfect escapism. You could sit back, relax, enjoy the hijinks of Will and Sylvia, and forget about a lot of other things going on in the world. There are not a lot of other shows out there that are this effortless in their approach!

So when we do look more at a season 3, we unfortunately do have to say that we are still going to be waiting for a while. Based on much of what we’ve heard at present, the absolute earliest the series is going to return is moving into the spring or summer of next year. Filming is supposed to kick off this summer, likely after Rogen is done with his other Apple TV show in The Studio. We imagine that after doing so many different duties on that show, he likely appreciates being able to focus more on just a performance here.

Within the next several months, let’s also hope that we hear about some other additions to the cast. While Platonic may not be one of the biggest comedy hits on all of television, we do also imagine that there has to be something rather nice about being able to step onto this set and really just have a great time with a lot of other co-stars and comedy titans.
