Emily in Paris season 6 will be final one over on Netflix

For everyone out there who is very-much excited to see Emily in Paris season 6 arrive on Netflix, are do have to share now some bittersweet news.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Lily Collins series is going to conclude its story with the upcoming sixth batch of episodes. Executive producer Darren Star had the following to say on this:

“Making Emily in Paris with this extraordinary cast and crew has been the trip of a lifetime. As we embark on the final season, I am so grateful to Netflix, Paramount, and most importantly, the fans who have taken this incredible journey with us. We can’t wait to share this last chapter with you. Thank you for letting us be a part of your lives, inspiring your dreams of travel and your love of Paris. We will always have Emily in Paris.”

Ultimately, it does feel like this is the right time to say farewell to this show for a number of different reasons, with the biggest one being that six seasons is a long run for any show on Netflix, let alone one that is really trying to answer a central question of “will they or won’t they?” with its main characters. We are happy to have been on the ride for as long as we have, even if it is now coming to a close.

As for when we are going to say goodbye now…

With production kicking off and taking place across places like Greece and of course France, our feeling is that the start of next year makes the most sense. The good thing about Emily in Paris in general is that this is the sort of show that has a short post-production window and with that, the wait may not be too long.
