Hijack season 3 renewal: A May 2026 update
Is there a chance we are going to learn more about Hijack season 3 between now and the end of May? Make no mistake, we would love more of the Idris Elba show. How can we not? Given that both Stuart and Sam are both still alive, there is always a chance for their battle to continue. Also, we still want to learn a little bit more about whether or not Sam faces legal repercussions for what he did on the train.
From the moment season 2 concluded, the producers noted that there was at least some interest in continuing the show, though there are some elements that need to be figured out. First and foremost, the right story needs to be in place. Also, Apple TV has to be interested. Given that the ratings for season 2 were pretty darn solid, we do have reason for hope.

So what are the chances that we learn something more before the end of the month? For now, let’s just say that it is possible, but also still low. Apple does not necessarily have to rush anything along here, and we do not think that they will. Typically, they spend at least a few months to figure out if they want to bring a show back or not and in theory, they could take even longer here given that each season is really its own thing.
Now, here is the larger question that we have to wonder: What other mode of transportation could really be hijacked? Something at sea would make for a good change — and also be a little bit more sunny after spending the vast majority of season 2 underground.
