The Boys season 5 episode 8: See epic series finale poster
It is hard to believe that in just under a single week’s time, we are going to have a chance to see the The Boys series finale. Where does the time go?
In terms of the stakes, they certainly could not be higher at this particular point in time. Homelander is currently immortal, he just killed Frenchie, and there may not be much time to stop him before he takes out more of his enemies. He also has complete control of just about everything, and that includes the White House.

If you head over to the link here now, you can see a poster for The Boys series finale that recreates a classic image from the comics with Butcher coming to the White House while other supes seemingly stand against him. Whether or not we get this in the actual episode remains to be seen, but would we be shocked? Hardly.
Ultimately, the ways in which to stop Homelander are limited to a few options. Soldier Boy technically could be involved, but someone would have to 1) thaw him out and 2) convince him to reverse something he already did. Meanwhile, Kimiko may have enough powers to weaken him, and Marie could try to remove some of the V1 from his bloodstream. In the end, though, the only people who really seem right to deliver the final blows here are Butcher or Hughie, given what they have gone through with him for the bulk of the series. We wouldn’t mind if Annie took him out, either, but she may ultimately be responsible for the demise of the Deep.
