Is Saturday Night Live new tonight on NBC? Of course, we do not blame anyone who wants more of the late-night show after its grand return last week … but is it actually going to happen?

Well, here is where we are more than a little bit happy to share the news, and it begins by noting that yes, you are going to be getting a chance to see another installment of SNL, and in just a matter of hours. This is one that will be hosted by Matt Damon, who has hosted in the past, but not necessarily as many times as you would imagine for a star of his caliber. Meanwhile, Noah Kahan serves as the musical guest.

Of course, there is no shortage of material out there for the writers to pull from, and given the sheer number of famous friends Damon has, you can also argue that there is potential for a lot of great cameos at the same exact time.

One other important thing to remember

Let’s just spell this one out in relatively easy terms: There are only two more episodes left in the season. This means that there are going to inevitably be all sorts of questions regarding not just the future, but who will be around for it. That includes executive producer Lorne Michaels, someone who could easily opt to retire after the upcoming finale featuring Will Ferrell as the host and Sir Paul McCartney as musical guest. Would anyone be that surprised? Well, from where we stand, it is hard to imagine that this would be the case.
