‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Desiree Hartsock’s brother returns for Drew Kenney, other chats

DesireeOn Monday night’s “The Bachelorette” episode, we had an opportunity to see a number of emotional moments leading up to the arrival of the hometown dates. Desiree Hartsock claimed that she only wanted to bring people to this point in the competition that she was sure were ready for it, and to see Brooks Forester, Chris Siegfriend, Zak Waddell, and Drew Kenney make it there was no surprise. (Yes, a tear for Michael Garofola.)

But what happens from here? The preview at the end of the last episode showed a collection of all the upcoming installments, including something that has stirred up plenty of conversation from here: Some sort of conversation between Des and Drew Kenney that causes tears and mass freakouts.

Sadly, there was no real continuation of that this week. Instead,  the big “shocker” was the return of Des’ abrasive brother Nate Hartsock, who is surely going to scare the living daylights out of every guy after what he did to Sean Lowe last year. As for the dates themselves, Brooks has about a trillion relatives, Zak has some sort of wacky famil band thing goingy, and Chris’ dad gave her one of the most awkward massages of all time. Drew clearly has one of the more emotional moments of the group, as he tries to explain to his mom what Des means to him. (If he doesn’t win this season, he is totally getting the “next Bachelor” edit right about now.)

Hometown dates are always entertaining, and by the end of this, only three will be left standing in some sort of exotic locale.
