Following what you see tonight on NBC, do you want to know the return date for Chicago Med season 11 episode 18? Are we going to be stuck waiting for a long time?

There are of course multiple things that we can say about the future of the show right now, but we do have to begin with the unfortunate news: We are going to be waiting a little while to see it back. As of this writing, there is nothing officially set for Wednesday, April 15 beyond just a repeat. We expect to see the medical drama return on April 22, and with a story tentatively titled “Things Left Unsaid.”

While there may not be an official synopsis out there for this Chicago Med episode as of yet, we also do not anticipate any sort of fundamentally huge shifts from what we’ve seen so far this season. Sure, there are going to be a whole host of complicated medical situations but mixed in there, we’re also going to have some major character moments, as well.

As for the future long beyond this episode…

The plan appears for there to be 21 episodes of Med this season, and there is a legitimately good chance this upcoming hiatus is the last one of the season. We could be seeing new installments every week after the fact and honestly, that makes a great deal of sense. You want to get some serious momentum going closer to the end of the season, especially since you want the finale to both look and feel like some sort of major event.

Also, here is one more thing to note at the moment: There is a season 12 already confirmed! You don’t have to worry about that; instead, just worry if there is going to be some sort of huge cliffhanger here to set the stage for what is ahead.
