House of the Dragon season 3 premiere date: An April 2026 update

Given that we are now into the month of April, doesn’t it make sense for us to actually get a firm House of the Dragon season 3 premiere date announcement? For us personally, we certainly tend to think so!

After all, remember for a moment everything that HBO has announced so far, whether it be a June launch or some footage for what is to come. Given the massive success of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms earlier this year, we tend to think they are putting even more stock into the show at this point. It is certainly expensive, which it has to be when you consider that we are going to see the Battle of the Gullet almost from the get-go. People are going to die, relationships could fall apart, and of course we know where a lot of the story is going already thanks to Fire & Blood, let alone the other series in this world.

Now as we do look more to the future, we want to say one thing with a measure of clarity: We are almost certainly going to get an exact premiere date soon. More than likely, it is going to happen in April, and it would not surprise us at all if a reveal is paired with the premiere of Euphoria season 3. This is easily the biggest show that HBO has had so far this year, and they will want to keep some of this momentum going for as long as they possibly can.

To go along with the news of season 3 launching, we honestly would not be surprised if by the end of the year, we also hear something more about season 4 filming. After all, HBO renewed the show for what will be its final season, one we expect to premiere at some point in 2028.
