9-1-1 season 9 episode 17 return date hopes over at ABC
Following what you see tonight at ABC, do you want to get a 9-1-1 season 9 episode 17 return date? What is there to look forward to?
First and foremost, let’s just go ahead and get some of the bad news out of the way: The first-responder drama is not going to be airing the remainder of the season in the relatively near future. There are only two episodes left but per the Futon Critic, you will not be seeing the next one until we get around to Thursday, April 30. The network has already confirmed that the plan here is to air the finale come May 7. There is already a renewal for season 10, so you do not have to worry about that!

If there is anything that is pretty unfortunate at this point, it is simply this: The next episode is so far away that at this point, there is not that much information out there on what is to come. Our hope is that we do learn something more there in the next week or so. Our general sentiment is that we’re going to be seeing more of what we’ve come to love, whether it be dangerous rescues or personal arcs putting people like Athena or Buck front and center.
We do still think it is a little bit unusual that we are going to get the remaining two episodes of the season separate from everything else, but sometimes strange scheduling quirks happen. Also, ABC is the sort of network to be invested in trying to have at least some stories set for the all-important May sweeps ratings period. Live network ratings don’t mean as much as they used to, but they are still very much important.
