Wonder Man renewed for season 2 at Disney+

Following the arrival of season 1 earlier this year, we come with some rather fantastic news: A Wonder Man season 2 is on the way!

According to a new report from Deadline, the folks at the aforementioned streaming service are bringing the Marvel adaptation back for another chapter with Yahya Abdul-Mateen and Ben Kingsley both returning. Hopefully, we will learn more regarding additional roles and/or possible premiere dates in the months ahead.

Perhaps the thing that excites us the most at this point is knowing that this news is not necessarily something that could have been expected back when season 1 launched. We had a lot of concerns about a quiet promotional campaign for Wonder Man, let alone the fact that it released all episodes at once and that can lead to shows getting a little bit lost in the shuffle. Luckily, that is not something that happened here.

This news also does mean that when it comes to the future of Marvel Television, there are a different array of shows to look forward to here. We already have a second season of Daredevil: Born Again coming up shortly and beyond that, there is a lot of other stuff that could be in the pipeline. We recognize that some comic-book adaptations have lost a little bit of steam but why not celebrate good news wherever we can?

Comic-book adaptations do take a while to make. However, we really do hope that Disney+ finds a way to get more episodes out there at some point in 2027. Based on what it has done so far, we see no real reason to think that Wonder Man has to be one of those shows that necessarily takes longer than that.
