Extracted season 2 episode 9 spoilers: The last before finale

As you get prepared to check out Extracted season 2 episode 9 on Fox next week, it should feel fairly clear what some of the stakes are.

First and foremost, let’s note that there are only two episodes remaining and from here on out, every twist has to be all the more significant. Obviously, there are hard decisions to come for some of the families in HQ, while at the same time, we imagine that there will be even more challenges on the ground. Being eliminated at this point has to be one of the bigger struggles that any contestant can feel, knowing that you were so close to the end and wondering whether you or your family could have done anything different. It’s tough.

The finale for season 2 is coming in early April, and going into it, there will only be three contestants left standing. The last thing that we want to do is go into that chapter with any major assumptions. Instead, we really just hope that they are all deserving and beyond that, they are willing to fight with everything they have in order to ensure that they get the grand prize and all the money. Finding great winners is one of the only ways that a show like this is really going to survive long-term, especially when you think about every single other reality TV show that exists.
