Hijack season 3 renewal: A spring 2026 update

Is there any chance that we are going to hear more about Hijack season 3 between now and the end of the spring? Of course, we would love nothing more than to see some updates soon. As for whether or not it is going to happen … well, that may really be up to whatever Apple TV wants at this given point in time.

For the sake of this article, as we can really do is kick things off by noting every bit and piece of info that is out there. Take, for starters, this: Are the producers interested in even doing more of the Idris Elba drama? The answer to that seems to be yes based on some of the post-finale interviews that are out there. What the potential theme of it would be, however, remains a mystery. Remember that Sam Nelson could still theoretically be arrested for what happened with the train crisis; yet, there is still a potentially battle between him and Stuart on the horizon, given that the latter remains very-much alive.

For now, we think that we are in a spot where Apple is simply examining the performance of season 2 and/or hearing out what ideas are out there for a season 3. There is a good chance that a decision will come this spring, but it is not a guarantee.

In general, we do think it would be useful for more news to arrive soon, largely for one simple reason: The earlier more Hijack is ordered, the faster everyone can work on it! We do think it would benefit both the show and its viewers if another chapter could be available by the time we get to the fall of 2027. Apple may not care about long breaks between seasons, but we do think a quick turnaround is often still helpful.
