With us officially getting into the spring, does this mean that great news on Reacher season 4 is right around the corner? The Alan Ritchson series has been done in production for a little while now, which does mean that we have to be inching ever closer to actually seeing it back.

Unfortunately, this is where we do have to barge into this article with a sad dose of reality, noting that there is still a pretty long wait ahead and for a number of different reasons.

We suppose that the first positive thing we can say about the future here is that Reacher season 4 will be happening this year, as that has been confirmed already by none other than series star Alan Ritchson. However, there is more work to be done to get from point A to point B, starting with a good bit of post-production and editing that is going to be required for a series of this nature. That is something that we have gotten prepared for anytime that you have a big-budget action show, and the process here may take them at least until the summer or early fall.

Beyond that, though, there is also another factor here — where Prime Video actually needs the new season (based on Gone Tomorrow by Lee Child) on the schedule. We would be surprised if we end up getting it before we get around to October or November, especially since the Neagley spin-off is likely coming first and there is probably going to be a gap between the two shows. Let’s just hope that before season 4 does arrive, we have a chance to learn more about a season 5. After all, doesn’t it feel either inevitable or close to it?
