‘Big Brother 15’ live feed spoilers: The Nick offensive; Spencer’s real-life troubles

Nick

Do you remember that episode of “The Office” that was really all about Michael Scott harassing Oscar, and eventually outing him to all of the Scranton branch as gay? This feels almost what Aaryn and a few other members of the “Big Brother 15” house are trying to do to Nick at the moment, regardless of whether or not he is actually gay.

First of all, we have to ask the most important question: Why does it matter? Second, is Aaryn really so self-absorbed that, in addition to being a terrible racist, she has also read nothing about the gay rights movement? Outing someone is never a particularly nice thing to do, especially in this context because 1) hundreds of thousands of people keep track of the live feeds and 2) Nick claims that he is straight, and has since the casting videos. He just doesn’t want a showmance, and remember the days when “Big Brother” was about more than that?

So basically, Aaryn has spent a good chunk of time since the Veto Competition trying to convince GinaMarie that Nick is gay, and this is why he is not giving her the kind of attention that she wants. Nick has exhibited some behavior that is unusual, to say the least (including calling Andy “cutie”), and that has led to Andy also wanting him out of the house for being weird and creeping him out.

So there is not too much happening this afternoon in the house when it comes to game-play, mostly because it seems that Elissa seems reasonably set on putting Kaitlin up as the replacement for now. It seems like her goose is cooked regardless, but a lot can change in a few days. (We still think it’s smart to limit Jeremy’s power, regardless of what people say about him needing her to keep him in check.)

We also have another update in the world of race-gate: Another contestant seems to be close to losing their job. In a statement on their website, Union Pacific claims that their conducting Spencer Clawson is on unpaid leave while on the show, and they are “acting in accordance with Collective Bargaining Agreement terms regarding Mr. Clawson.” Our translation of this is simple: They are making sure that they fire all union regulations, then kicking this guy to the curb for his racism and sexist remarks this season. (Oh, and in case you haven’t seen it, our video take on this controversy is below.)
