NCIS season 23 spoilers: More on the 500th episode!

For those who are not currently aware, the 500th episode of NCIS is going to arrive on CBS come March 24. Is there anything more we can share about it now?

Well, it should be obvious enough from the history of the series that an episode like this is going to be something special — and that the writers are going to put a great deal into it from top to bottom. These are instances where you can either take big, creative swings or do something really nostalgic to honor the legacy of the program in general.

So what are we going to get on this particular occasion? Let’s just say to prepare for something a little bit emotional. Speaking to TV Insider, here is a little bit of what Brian Dietzen (Jimmy Palmer) had to say about the story:

“People are going to absolutely lose their minds … Everybody I talked to at the network said it’s probably one of the most affecting and emotional episodes we’ve ever done.”

Now, we just have to hope that we get a little more insight about what is officially ahead plot-wise in the coming days. Is there a chance that a major jaw-dropper will be present in this episode, such as another former cast member? Nothing is confirmed but at the same time, it is hard to rule out. Just remember for a moment how secretive the show was about bringing back Cote de Pablo for the first time, and they could easily do that again.
