Dancing with the Stars 35: The Traitors star wants on board

Even though we may not get a full cast reveal for Dancing with the Stars season 35 for quite some time, we do know one person is interested. With that, let’s go ahead and look towards Maura Higgins for a moment, shall we? The Love Island and The Traitors star is setting this as the next reality show she wants to be a part of — and when you think of it, she technically has a big connection already!

In a statement per The Hollywood Reporter, here is some of what Maura had to say on that particular subject:

“It’s something that’d be a challenge for me. I’ve never danced. I’d done a bit of Irish dancing when I was younger. It’d be a huge challenge, but I know I’d throw myself into it and all the looks and glitter.”

Maura was a Faithful on The Traitors this past season, and certainly had a chance to get to know one of the show’s most successful pros in Mark Ballas. Even if he does not return as a pro for season 35, could he recommend someone else for her?

Would DWTS want Maura?

Honestly, it makes some element of sense given the popularity of both Love Island and The Traitors — she could bring a large social-media audience to the show! Also, we personally like it when there are some people cast who legitimately want to be a part of it and embrace it. We also do think that Maura would do rather well and be entertaining — and the latter is certainly more important than almost anything else.

Now, let’s just cross our fingers and hope that we get some exciting DWTS announcements before we get too deep into the summer…
