Industry season 4 episode 8 (finale): Big cliffhanger ahead?

With the big Industry season 4 finale coming to HBO in just a matter of days, now does feel like high time to get into what we will see. Is there a chance that a lot of loose ends will be tied up? Or, will the conclusion be more complicated than ever?

One thing that we can go ahead and note here is that the network has not officially renewed the series for a season 5, but it is likely coming and that in itself is not a concern. However, one thing that does make the show so interesting is the fact that almost every season finale feels like it could be the end of the show. Think back to the conclusion of season 3, where it felt like the dismantling of Pierpoint was going to be the ultimate conclusion to this story. That did not end up being the case.

Because of past precedent here, we do tend to think that the most-likely scenario for the Industry finale here is that stories in their current form will be tied up in some way, whether it be Whitney / Tender, the relationship with Yasmin and Henry, and also how Harper really moves forward without Eric. There could, meanwhile, but other big swings that could serve as jumping-off points. We would not thing of them as cliffhangers per se, and rather just potential teases. That is a part of what makes this show so unique.

Also, do not be surprised if there is a firm season 5 renewal in place between now and the end of the finale. If we don’t have one, the only explanation we’ll have is that HBO may just want to make sure the story is put together properly first.
