Yellowjackets season 4: Co-creators set to stay at Paramount

While we all wait for Yellowjackets season 4 to kick off production in the days ahead, we do have some big news to share right now behind the scenes!
According to a report from Variety, co-creators Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson have signed a new overall deal with Paramount Television Studios, which keeps the two of them in the fold for whatever their next project could be. Given that season 4 is the final one for the Showtime drama, we imagine that they will be eager to look towards whatever is next. Is a spin-off possible? In theory sure, but the duo could easily move forward and do something different.

In a statement per the aforementioned website, here is what Matt Thunell, president of Paramount Television Studios, had to say:
“We are thrilled to expand our long-standing creative partnership with Ashley and Bart, who are singular, fearless, and groundbreaking storytellers … We look forward to supporting them making many epic stories to come.”
Meanwhile, Lyle and Nickerson added the following:
“We’re elated to continue our relationship with Paramount, a home that deeply and genuinely supports original, outside-the-box, narrative-driven storytelling … Reuniting with Matt Thunell, one of the very first executives we ever worked with, is especially meaningful to us, and we can’t wait to dig into developing our next passion projects while supporting a new generation of oddball creators through this partnership.”
Personally, we remain hopeful that the fourth season will premiere either at the end of this year or early 2027; either way, let’s just hope that it all ends in a satisfying manner. Because of all the lore and the various twists / turns, this is not an easy story to put together by any means.
