To get a few more details now about it, go ahead and check out the Elsbeth season 3 episode 13 synopsis below:
“Murder Six Across” – After the famed editor of the daily puzzle is murdered at the annual crossword championship, Elsbeth infiltrates the world of elite puzzle solvers to find the champion who will do whatever it takes to win, on ELSBETH, Thursday, March 12 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ Premium plan subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs).
Given just how many people are obsessed about crossword puzzles — especially the ones over at the New York Times — it honestly feels like this is going to be one of those hours where you can really take a deep-dive into a fascinating world. These are people who can be highly competitive, to the point where Carrie Preston’s character may struggle to figure out who the actual responsible party here is! That may be bad news for her but at the same time, extremely compelling television for us. This is the kind of drama that we almost always welcome for a series that is a lot about putting the pieces together from one week to the next.
