A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms season 1 episode 6 (finale): The funeral

Based on the promo that we have seen at this point for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms season 1 episode 6, things will clearly get emotional. This is the finale, a statement we almost immediate hate having to admit. This entire show has been such a blast to watch that really, we wish that it could go on forever without interruption.
So what all is coming up next for Dunk and Egg? There is mourning the loss of Baelor, but then also trying to figure out what Ser Duncan’s next move will really be.

The aforementioned promo does give us a small sense of what Baelor’s funeral looks like and given that he is Hand of the King, you would almost think that it would somehow be bigger and more grand. Maybe that would have been the case were it in King’s Landing; the fact that this was in Ashford likely limited the resources.
In getting back to Dunk, though, it does look as though he has a number of possible opportunities before him. Lyonel Baratheon suggests that the two could be a “force” together, and it would be quite a delight to see the two work together. However, he is also summoned by Maekar, who makes it clear that his son refused to be a squire for anyone other than him. Given what happened with Aerion and the Trial of Seven, we imagine that this is not an altogether easy thing for him to admit.
Will Dunk actually accept?
That is a totally different story, as he indicates that he may be done with princes entirely … a thought that immediately disappoints Egg. Is there a way that the two an figure out how to get on the same page again? We can only hope…
What do you think we will see Dunk decide on the finale of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms?
Be sure to share right now in the attached comments! Once you do just that, come back — there should be some other updates on the way.
