When Calls the Heart season 13 episode 8 spoilers: Lucas’ struggle

Next week on the Hallmark Channel, you are going to have a chance to see When Calls the Heart season 13 episode 8. What more is going to stand out here story-wise?

Well, for starters, “Take Two” appears to be one of those episodes that is going to bring you a little bit of everything. Take, for example, Rosemary, the sort of person who loves a community project more than almost anyone out there. She is certainly going to bring a lot of the fun to this story, but that is without getting into everything that is going on with Lucas. Is he ready to get into a romance? If nothing else, we are glad that some of these questions are about to be answered again!

Feeling the loss of her playhouse, Rosemary directs a silent film and gets the whole community involved. Lucas finds himself hesitant to open his heart again. Stars Erin Krakow, Kevin McGarry, Pascale Hutton, Jack Wagner.

Our general feeling at this point is that Lucas has his own process that he needs to go through here and given what he’s gone through, that is okay. While we do appreciate the fact that he and Elizabeth are still friends, we also imagine that it still tears up his psyche on some level. Despite everything that he has going for him, we do think that he may have an element of self-doubt or things that he is trying to work through. Mental health certainly was not discussed in the time period in which this show is set, but we do tend to think it is important nonetheless.
