‘Royal Pains’ season 5 spoilers: Hank and foreshadowing realized

In some of our early reviews for “Royal Pains” this season, we have suggested that the show looks to be taking Hank down a pretty dark path when it comes to his recovery, and his reliance on medication to do. The signs are there, from convincing Dr. Sacani to write him a new prescription to him acting nervous and hesitant to allow him to draw blood in this past episode. There is clearly something that he is trying to hide, and it could come to the surface soon.

As it turns out, these hints were present early on for a reason. According to a new report from TV Guide, one of the major themes moving forward this season is going to be seeing how Hank’s addiction continues to impact his life, both on and off the job. They say that some of the people who suffer the most through times like these are friends, so we therefore expect many of them to go through a certain level of trauma in trying to help a man that clearly does not seem to be that interested in actually helping himself (or at least doesn’t know how to).

As for some other long-term storylines we can tell you about now, Divya’s pregnancy is clearly going to play a key role moving forward. Not only that, but we will also see Evan continue to battle Blythe in order to secure the proper documentation for HankMed to run out of his home.
