Heated Rivalry season 2 premiere date: A February 2026 update

Is there a chance that we are going to be hearing more about a Heated Rivalry season 2 between now and the end of February?

Of course, there are so many different things that we want to say regarding the future of this show, but let’s begin with the following: More is absolutely happening in the wake of the show’s season 1 success. Who would have thought in the early days that a Canadian hockey-based romance would become the breakout hit of the past few months? Yet, it is absolutely merited, to the point where Connor Storrie is going to host Saturday Night Live at the end of the month.

With all of this in mind, of course we would love nothing more than to get news on a season 2 premiere date sooner rather than later … but the bad news is that we’re going to be stuck waiting a while. To us, the best-case scenario here is that we see the full season early next year. It would be great if there was a standalone special or something else before 2026 wraps up, but those are rare and by virtue of that, it feels fairly foolish to sit back and get overly excited for what may be a bit of a TV unicorn in that regard.

Now as for what the future will hold…

Well, that feels reasonably clear already just on the basis of the source material that has already been released. In the end, we tend to think the success showed that viewers really enjoyed what was there the first time around. By virtue of that, why would you ever want to change things up now? Emphasize what worked, but also threw in new surprises at the same time.
