Is Spartacus: House of Ashur new tonight on Starz? Given the incredible run of episodes that there has been as of late, we certainly understand the eagerness for more.

Now as for whether or not we’re about to get something more … well, this is where the bad news does come into play. Last week was the season finale for the what-if historical drama, one that has been a glorious fun time over the past few months. There have been twists and turns aplenty, but also plenty of epic battles. Basically, the show has done everything within its power already to make us eager for more.

So when are we going to get more? Well, here is the thing: Nothing has been fully confirmed or cemented when it comes to that yet. While we do remain hopeful about a season 2 (there are certainly more stories that have been planned out), it is really up to Starz to figure this out. We tend to already imagine that they are off somewhere looking at the numbers already, and that they will take over the next couple of months to properly figure out what they want to do here.

If we had to share a personal hope here…

Well, it is not altogether complicated. If we are truly lucky, we are going to have a chance to get news on House of Ashur season 2 over the next several weeks and if that happens, it will make it all the easier to set production dates and plan more of the future. We are in an era where a lot of shows take almost two years between seasons, but we really do not want to live in a world where this happens here.
