Bridgerton season 4 episode 5: Benedict’s road to resolution

Judging from the way that Bridgerton season 4 episode 4 concluded, it feels fair to assume what the start of episode 5 could look like. Sophie Baek will most likely be nursing a broken heart, as she tries to figure out what her life looks like now. Meanwhile, Benedict could be in the midst of some heavy soul-searching and for good reason. After some reflection, is he really going to be okay with asking her to be his mistress?
Because the Netflix drama runs at such a rapid pace (and often has to, given that there are only eight episodes in a season), we have a hard time sitting here and thinking that we are going to be getting no resolution to the cliffhanger early on. Is there even a chance that Benedict and Sophie are together by the time episode 5 wraps?

For now, we’ll just start off here by noting that we do not necessarily want to get too far ahead of ourselves. However, at the same time it would hardly be a surprise if that were the case. There are a few important story-notes that will need to be hit after Luke Thompson and Yerin Ha’s characters are together, including how they deal with the reaction of society. If Benedict really wants to be as progressive or bohemian as he says, this is a challenge he should embrace and do out of love.
Also, we tend to think that in the final episodes of season 4, he will need to prove himself more than ever to be a capable man for her. Because of the infuriating way that episode 4 concluded, we imagine that in the second half of the season. he will need to work especially hard to regain trust. We mean that not just through the lens of Sophie, but also viewers, as well.
