Chicago Fire season 14 episode 11 promo: Is Sam Carver back?

Based on the preview we just saw last night for Chicago Fire season 14 episode 11, it absolutely feels clear that things are going to be very much messy within Firehouse 51 — and Violet could be front and center.
When the news first came out that Jake Lockett was leaving the series and the role of Sam Carver, we certainly realized there was a chance that he could someday come back. After all, the character wasn’t killed off — also, there has been enough of a history of people coming and going on the NBC drama that it always felt possible.

Well, now we have confirmation that Carver is back, and things are going to get interesting in part because of Violet’s relationship with Sal Vasquez, which has been steadily growing stronger. The preview shows him and Sam speaking to each other in a rather confrontational way, so where will this lead? Carver is a guy who did truly care about her but at the same time, had a lot of demons that he was actively trying to battle. Vasquez is most likely dealing with a couple of different issues at once with his return, and we hope that there is some closure within this episode.
After all, for Violet in particular we imagine that this situation is incredibly awkward. After all, we are dealing here with her not only finding herself in the middle of a messy situation, but some of it possibly happening around her job. This is a spot where you have to be locked-in and prepared for just about anything, so we really do wonder how she will be able to break through the noise or if she is better trying to find a way to nip this sooner rather than later.
