Only Murders in the Building season 6: Chevy Chase wants in

Is there a chance that Only Murders in the Building season 6 could actually feature Chevy Chase? Well, let’s just say that the actor himself would like to reunite with his former Three Amigos in Martin Short and Steve Martin.

Speaking to People while promoting his new documentary, the Community alum made it clear that he would like to be a part of the world in some way: “It’s a good show. Yes, it’s good, they’re good, but they really are lacking me. That’s where we gotta get going. … If you really want to have a movie with Steve and Marty, you have to have me … I miss them, that’s all I’m saying. I really miss them, they’re great.”

Now as for whether Only Murders in the Building wants to actually bring Chase on board, that is a different question altogether. This is an actor with a lot of controversy attached to his past, whether it be his exit from the aforementioned NBC show to some anecdotes that have come out about working with him over the years. We understand the nostalgia angle and it cannot be 100% ruled out; however, at the same time, we would be somewhat surprised if it happens at this point.

Still, we are hardly surprised to hear Chevy coming out and expressing his interest. This is someone who has such a long history of performing with the show’s stars, and on paper, you can argue that the zany comedy we get around the Arconia suits his style. The actor, however, has not had a major scripted television appearance in ten years.

Season 6 of Only Murders is set to take place primarily in London, and we hope to have further news on it soon.
