‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Were Brooks Forester, Drew Kinney almost left without Desiree?

BrooksThere are some bizarre “Bachelorette” rumors out there, but this is one that may actually make a little bit of sense if you can take it all in perspective, and can of dismiss the exaggerated nature of some of it. According to In Touch Weekly, Drew Kenney, Brooks Forester, and many of the other contestants at this point were almost left without a woman to pursue this season.

What’s the reason why? It’s all because the James Case drama supposedly made Desiree come close to quitting the entire competition. Here is what one source had to say about her emotional process while dealing with all of this drama and its various aftereffects:

“There were several moments where she said ‘I want to go home.’ … [She had] multiple conversations with producers about going home. There were a lot of tears behind the scenes. It got very emotional and real. This was not an easy process for her.”

As for why this is being blown somewhat out of proportion, there is quite a difference between saying that you are going to go home from the competition, and actually pulling the trigger on it. Desiree was clearly upset in the moment, but once she had some time to sit back and reflect on the situation, she quickly decided that while there was some significant drama when it came to the James situation, it was time to move forward with the competition. After all, she has Brooks, Drew, Chris Siegfried, and more remaining in the competition, and these are all guys pegged for the time being as major frontrunners.

Next week, Desiree and her remaining guys (without James) will take off to the Portuguese island of Madeira, where the romance will be the theme once again. After all, something has to compel Desiree to want to go on the top of a cliff with Brooks and have a picnic, and we have to assume that it’s love, right? It certainly can’t be rational thinking.
