Pluribus season 2: Rhea Seehorn gives new progress report

The latest Pluribus season 1 episode is coming to Apple TV in less than 24 hours, and it will bring us closer to the end of the season. Is that exciting? Absolutely, but it does also make us look more to the future, as well.
Here is where we are at least happy to share some other news now regarding the long-term future of the Rhea Seehorn series — it has not only been renewed for more, but there is work currently being done behind the scenes!

In a recent chat with Variety, Seehorn herself noted that the writers are already at work making new episodes. This news is especially important for those who were worried that there would be some exhausting break between seasons — it feels like production should happen next year and after that, we could see it return at some point (at the latest) in 2027. We at least know from watching other Vince Gilligan series that they can be delivered in pretty quick fashion; however, at the same time, release dates are heavily dependent on what Apple wants out of their own schedule. It would be foolish to come in here and make any bold predictions regarding that.
How long could the show go?
In the same interview, the actress noted that she’d love to see the show last for ten seasons — which feels like a lot but honestly, we wouldn’t be mad! We do think that the premise here could allow for a lot of exploration into Carol and some other characters. However, at the same time, it has to be paced properly given that the Joined clearly have an imperative they want to accomplish — and odds are, they aren’t just going to sit around when it comes to achieving their goals.
