‘Royal Pains’ season 5 spoilers: A man and his flowers

Let’s start this “Royal Pains” article with some sad news: Thanks to the Fourth of July holiday, there will be no new episode airing on Wednesday night. Sad as it may be, this is obviously going to be the right move for the show in the long run. The ratings would be pretty awful if it aired tomorrow, since so many people will be traveling and getting their barbecues ready for a major feast.

So maybe, the following bit of casting news will help to tide you over for the time being. According to a new report from TV Guide, former “Mercy” actor Patch Darragh will guest-star in what looks to be some sort of patient-of-the-week storyline later on this season. His name is Felix, and is a florist who is adept when it comes to the world of flowers. However, he is not nearly so gifted when it comes to actually communicating with anyone in a romantic way.

Thanks to the research efforts of Hank and Jeremiah, they find out that Felix’s socially-awkward behavior may be tied in many ways to some sort of medical condition, and thus, the two come to the rescue! This is by and large a pretty positive show, so we imagine that the two will come up with some sort of way in which to tangibly cure him before his time on the show is done.

As for some other storylines to look forward to on “Royal Pains” this season, expect to see more Jeremiah / Divya teasers, and also Hank struggling further to keep Boris’ secret just that.
