The White Lotus season 4: France setting confirmed by HBO

We know that it has been heavily reported for a while now that The White Lotus season 4 was going to be set in France. Now, isn’t it just nice to have the news officially?

According to TVLine, the confirmation was given by HBO head Casey Bloys during an event on Thursday, which does allow us to sit back and wonder further as to what the next edition of the series is really going to look like. We are going to be seeing, most likely, some prestige visuals and romance that are commonly associated with the country. There are also certainly parts of Paris as well as the Riviera that are populated heavily by the super-wealthy.

Are we a little bit bummed that the show is not heading over to another continent? We’d be lying if we gave an answer other than “yes.” Our dream was for the fourth season to have a setting somewhere in Africa like a Morocco or a Tanzania. Meanwhile, we do think that a South American season could be really fascinating, whether it be in Argentina or Colombua. All of the locations mentioned have a Four Seasons resort, and we know that The White Lotus has leaned heavily on these for filming locations in the past.

As great as it may be right now to know the setting for the series, there is without question a lot of work still to be done. The cast for the next season remains unclear, and we wonder if there is going to be any further continuity to what we have seen explored in the past. For example, is anyone actually going to get full justice for Greg — or was Belinda taking the money meant to be it?
